At 1,938 m, the original Speiereck-Halterhütte is located at around the same altitude as the Peterbauer Alm. There are several ways to reach the Speiereck-Halterhütte:
- Start in St. Michael at the pharmacy: From St. Michael, follow trail no. 94 to the Speiereck-Halterhütte – walking time from the village center to the hut approx. 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can also start from the WANDERPARKPLATZ above St. Michael: walking time approx. 2 hours to the Speiereck-Halterhütte. From the Speiereck-Halterhütte, take trail no. 94 to the Peterbaueralm. (walking time approx. 0.75 hours)
- From the Speiereck Halterhütte you can also reach the Speiereck summit at 2400m in approx. 1.5 hours. This offers a fantastic panoramic view in all directions. Trail no. 94 takes you to our Peterbaueralm at the Sonnenbahn mountain station in approx. 0.5 hours.
