The path runs uphill to the lower “Piendl-Alm” (ruin) at 1,322 m above sea level (approx. 0.5 hours). To the left, between the ruins and a fountain, climb over the fence and hike up the well-marked path to the Peterbauer Almstub’n.
Hike on the new Sonnehangweg from the Mauterndorf mountain station (approx. 1 hour)
The 3km long hiking trail from the “Grosseckbahn” mountain station (from Mauterndorf) to the Peterbaueralm or vice versa is an experience for everyone. The path has a maximum gradient of 5% and is also suitable for wheelchair users and strollers.
